Combining the Familiar with the New...Using Technology & Design

Powerpoint logo As we've shared, PowerPoint (PPT) is easy to learn, has built-in accessibility functions, and has an existing base familiarity level for a large number of office workers. It is an an industry standard used by many companies for training, for those reasons.

However, while PPT does have a greater number of features to keep the learner engaged with presentations than it did in the past, it is hard to compare PPT on equal footing with eLearning.

There are several reasons why you might want to convert existing PowerPoint slides to eLearning:

* Greater flexibility: eLearning allows you to deliver training materials in a variety of formats, including online courses, mobile apps, and even virtual reality experiences. This allows learners to access the material on their own time and at their own pace, which can be especially useful for busy professionals or those who are geographically dispersed.

* Improved engagement: eLearning often includes interactive elements, such as quizzes, games, and simulations, which can help keep learners engaged and motivated. In contrast, PowerPoint slides are generally static and may not be as engaging for learners.
